During my career as an entrepreneur and CEO, my passion has always been the world of wine. I am a Certified Sommelier (CMS) and WSET Diploma student, but most importantly a sincere lover of wine, and the stories of those who produce and enjoy each bottle
Anyone who meets me often quickly realizes that my passion is for the world of wine. I’ve been fortunate to travel the world to experience some of the great regions firsthand, to touch the soil with generational winemakers, and to experience wine with a genuine thirst of an enthusiastic student.
Being a chief executive, I became a Sommelier as an outsider to the world of restaurants and hospitality. My desire was to use this passion and quest for knowledge to do something more, and I needed to work harder and study deeper to prove that I belonged in the room and at the table. In 2015, I passed the Certified Sommelier exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and am now studying through the WSET Diploma on the path to become a Master of Wine. This demonstrated ardor for the world of wine, combined with my executive experience, has earned me the trust of private collectors and major corporations alike when it comes to being their wine advisor.
In addition to consulting for private collectors, I am the host of a bi-weekly virtual tasting, The Purple Teeth Tasting Hour, and regularly organize custom virtual and in-person wine programming for private, corporate, and non-profit engagements alike.
Born in Colombia, Prado’s artwork has received recognition by collectors and corporate brands around the globe. Hector Prado has had a truly global experience as renowned Creative Director, Art Director, Graphic designer, Multimedia Director Designer and pop artist. His work has garnered much critical acclaim nationally and internationally winning awards in graphic design and creative ad campaigns ideas such a Cannes Festival, One show, London Awards, Clio Awards, NY Festivals, Emmy Awards and special award for his posters artwork for Steven Spielberg’s HBO series The Pacific.
Prado’s style blends realism with a surreal twist, masterfully employing old world techniques with a variety of mediums including pencil, paint and illustration to showcase his signature artistic style.
