Donating to art initiatives empowers people to be a central element of something from the ground up, and offers the opportunity to be involved with innovative and creative art and artists. BBX Capital Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000 for all projects that are Broward-based and arts-related posted to Power2Give.org, a website that provides individuals and companies the opportunity to donate directly to local arts projects.
“Through this powerful website, the ability to donate is very simple, and the feeling of personal reward is wonderful,” said Lois Marino, Executive Director of BBX Capital Foundation. “We believe this platform encourages artists and art lovers to work together. The enthusiasm and pride it generates is as important as the money it raises.”
Power2Give.org is part of Business for the Arts of Broward, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) engaging business and business leaders to advocate and educate about the importance of the County’s art and cultural community as well as to recognize the connection between cultural vitality, creative success and economic development. With tools and resources for both donors and non-profits, Power2Give.org/Broward makes posting projects, promoting them to different audiences and giving to projects convenient for all involved. “The financial support from BBX Capital Foundation for power2give plays a vital role in supporting arts and cultural events for Broward County. Their generous donation will ultimately impact not only Broward’s cultural organizations and patrons but also business owners and the tourism industry,” said Robyn Vegas, Program Coordinator for Business for the Arts Broward.
