Does my work have to be framed?
No, but it does have to be ready to hang on the wall. We will provide basic hanging supplies, but artists need to provide pins or any special hardware. No clip frames or plexi boxes. Framing should look professional. Work needs to be completely dry.
Only 2-D work is accepted, but the artwork may protrude in depth off the front of the canvas or board by a few inches. The work may not extend outside dimensions (12 x 12, 20×20, 30×30) horizontally or vertically. (We don’t have pedestals for sculptures.)
Painting or finishing surrounding outside edge of canvas or board is required.
Does the artwork have to be square?
Yes, including the frame (if it is framed) All work should be either 12 x 12, 20 x 20 or 30 x 30. This is for both visual consistency in hanging the exhibit and for pricing purposes.
Can I ship the work or drop it off early?
We’re working out the details for the intake. We plan to have 2 days available for drop off before the Friday night event. A friend may also drop off your work and fill in the paperwork.
How do artists get paid?
The artists receive 60% of the sale price, paid to artists promptly, within 10 business days of the show. Artwork in the show is cash and carry. All sales will be conducted the night of the exhibit.
BFA may opt to display photos of artwork not sold on Business for the Arts of Broward’s facebook page, website and or email following the event for the purpose of after show sales. Last year we sold several pieces after the event from our facebook and website.

Art & Soul is a night of art, live music and gourmet food to raise money for Business for the Arts of Broward to help fund our events and expand the services we offer across Broward County as well as promote economic development to the non-profit organizations we serve.
